OEA INTERNATIONAL BOOSTS SUN MICROSYSTEMS' DEEP-SUBMICRON DESIGN CAPABILITIES

Santa Clara, CA – February 17, 2000 - OEA International, Inc., the innovative supplier of electronic design automation products and services, announced the extension of its long-term licensing relationship with Sun Microsystems, Inc., through the signing of an innovative multi-year time-based licensing agreement.   This new volume licensing concept provides Sun with the advantage of access to a variable suite of tools during different phases of the design process.  Under the agreement, OEA is providing to Sun design teams, on a corporate-wide basis, software licenses supporting high accuracy, deep-submicron specialty interconnect extraction and analysis.  These design tools will support the design and development of ICs for Sun's high-performance and high-end microprocessors.
