This new volume licensing concept provides Sun with the advantage of access to a variable suite of tools during different phases of the design process. Under the agreement, OEA is providing to Sun design teams, on a corporate-wide basis, software licenses supporting high accuracy, deep-submicron specialty interconnect extraction and analysis. These design tools will support the design and development of ICs for Sun's high-performance and high-end microprocessors.
